IT projects with a defined finish

When the work is a build or a migration — not a monthly helpdesk — we scope it, quote it, implement it, and hand over documentation.

Projects are not the same as managed support

Managed IT is ongoing care. An IT project has a start, a change, and an end: a new office network, a phone system cutover, a server replacement, a school lab, or a warehouse wireless overlay. Mixing the two without a scope is how businesses get surprise invoices.

IT Guy Solutions runs projects from survey through handover. After go-live you can stop, or fold the environment into a support plan.

Typical project types

See the project gallery for photographs of completed work, and case studies for anonymised write-ups. We do not invent extra metrics beyond what we have already published.

How implementation runs

We agree a window that avoids your busiest trading hours where possible, stage hardware, and keep a rollback path for cutovers. Sandton sites often mean after-hours access in multi-tenant buildings. Limpopo sites often mean travel time, generator/UPS checks, and wireless links between buildings. The project plan names those constraints instead of pretending every site is a Johannesburg CBD floor.
